School Art Programme 2024 Updates
Boniface Maina, an experienced artist based in Nanyuki, Kenya, leads the Orkedi children art classes in collaboration with the visiting artists in residence at the Foundation.
Podo Artist Mural Complete
Artist Abraham painting a mural on Podo artist in residence cottage outside walls for the stay of his residency. He kindly donated his time painting the mural at no expense to the Foundation except the cost of materials
Children Art Education Programme continues to reach more students
Classes are held every Saturday. The artist teachers also provide important mentorship to the children during the creative classes and they all enjoy juice and biscuits provided by a support donor to the Foundation at the completion of the class.
Aberdares Ecosystem Mural Launch
In February 2024, the first of the ecosystem murals of the Aberdares National Park and Reserve was launched to the public.
MASK Awards fetes kids’ community art
Since 2013, the MASK Awards has recognised arts talent among schoolchildren and youth, particularly in remote areas with limited access to creative tools.
