Growing The Orkedi Collection

The Orkedi Foundation owns a small art collection that it is looking to grow and expand through its artist in residence program, purchases and donations.

Camille was fortunate to meet renowned senior curator for Asian art Julia White in San Francisco earlier this year.  Julia White held this position for fifteen years before her retirement in 2022 and her outstanding curatorial supervision led to the growth and strength of the museum’s Asian art holdings as well as being recognized as a world expert and scholar in her field. 

The Orkedi Foundation recognizes the importances of building strategic and important relationships with various experts in the field in order to grow its collection. 

Thank you to Alan Githinji, international artist Lida Valme and Esther Likali and Caroline Mbirua have all donated artworks in support of the Foundation’s programmes and art collection.

We are currently working on a database to catalogue all of the Orkedi Collection pieces, so watch this space!
