Camille Wekesa is a professional landscape painter and environmental conservationist. Camille attended university in Italy for 6 years receiving degrees in Painting, Art History, Restoration and Museology. Her artistic endeavors include creating large-scale painted murals depicting Kenya’s iconic landscapes and forests, which serve as a means to raise awareness about the country’s natural beauty. She believes in bringing culture through art and creativity to local communities so that art does not remain a preserve of those familiar with museums & galleries or those living in capital cities. In 2020, Camille co-founded Ontulili Primates Protection (OPP) Community-Based Organization, an organization involved in reforestation and community engagement along the Ontulili river in Nanyuki working to coexist with and protect the primates that reside there
