Orkedi Foundation is honored to now be part of WAF ‘World Art Foundations’ global network which was co-founded by Peter Deckers and Helena Stork in 2014. The members now consist of over 250 private art foundations.

Managing Director and Founder Camille Wekesa attended the third annual networking conference between 4-5 November 2024 hosted at the prestigious Gulbenkian Museum and Foundation in Lisbon, Portugal.

Speakers with expertise in the running and management of art foundations spoke on topics such as philanthropy, raising funds, diversity, financial sustainability and separate forum spaces tackling subjects such as the intersection of Art, Science and Community Engagement.

Orkedi Foundation is committed to building its network of collaborators across the continent and around the world in order to strengthen its artist in residence program and community art education program as it seeks to find partners to grow and professionalize its small art collection.
